In 1982, Terry Kollman formed an association of companies that became THE CHARTER GROUP, with major emphasis in marketing, advertising, promotion and television production. During the past thirty-six years, Mr. Kollman has been active in the direct marketing industry specializing in Direct Response Television.
Mr. Kollman formed Charter Direct to specialize in creative direct response marketing, program development and media management. As Executive Producer, Account Supervisor and Media Director, he was a pioneer in long-form infomercials and has also been successful with short-form DRTV commercials.
Mr. Kollman has a proven track record in DRTV highlighted by a 60-second diet product that sold over $2 Million; a 90-second gospel album set that sold over $4 Million in record sales; and a one-hour financial program package that sold over $4 Million.
He also produced “StarSmile” for NATURAL WHITE, the first teeth whitener infomercial and “Life Should Be So Easy” for GEMSTAR, the first infomercial for VCRPlus+.
During his 40+ years in the advertising and television industries, Mr. Kollman has had major agency management responsibilities (Leo Burnett and Wells Rich Greene), TV sales management (ABC-TV, Katz and TeleRep) and entrepreneurial experience (Pro Media and The Charter Group).
